Polarvaultmang is an independent informational website about automated aircraft component manufacturing. Our purpose is to help manufacturing readers and aerospace newcomers ask useful questions about production evidence. We do not present generic process descriptions as proof that a specific part, supplier or facility meets a requirement.
We distinguish process capability, inspection evidence and formal qualification. Capability is conditional on the process and data considered. Inspection documents observations made with a particular method and decision rule. Qualification is a defined, scope-bound activity. These concepts overlap in real quality systems, but they are not interchangeable.
How we handle technical references
Standards and test methods are named as orientation points. A reference is not a blanket recommendation, and its appearance here does not imply a certification or endorsement. Readers should verify the applicable edition, contractual requirements, scope and authorized procedures with the responsible organization. Engineering approval and product acceptance remain matters for the parties with the relevant authority.
